That being said the ULTRA is still probably way better than anything else on the market.īut from the long term perspective - my own experience is that it takes time to get familiar with your gear and to get the most out of it. ULTRA is more on the polished side of things. Sound-wise - from what I hear other people say, when they compare the two - the II is better in terms of feel, and with the G3 it can give you everything from nice polished sound to raw amp sound in any genre. As far as I know there is not a dedicated editor for the Ultra and you would have to connect via MIDI. Save your money for the II - main thing is the USB connection and AXE Edit - if you like to tweak, then hooking the AXE to the computer and being able to fiddle with all the parameters via AXE Edit is way easier with the II than it would be with the ULTRA.
